What is technomancy, and where did it actually come from? In this video HopeGirl traces the documented history: Austin Osman Spare's sigil magic, the birth of chaos magic in 1970s England, Grant Morrison's hypersigil, and how the tradition moved onto the internet - including runes and bindrunes. Then HopeGirl digs into the core idea underneath it all, “belief is a tool, not a truth,” and connect it to an ancient heresy called Gnosticism, and what Scripture says in response.

Before she gets into it, HopeGirl share why she recognises this vocabulary - her own background in Wicca and New Age teaching before becoming a Christian in 2016.

This is an educational overview built from published sources and practitioners' own descriptions of their practice. It is not an endorsement, and she is not making claims about any individual.
