Watching Soylent Green in 2026 is an odd, uncomfortable
experience. While the movie is already supposed to be off-putting,
realizing that some of its darkest predictions have become reality in
recent years makes the experience rather surreal.
What’s stranger is that the movie takes place in exactly 2022, which
is around the time some of these predictions have materialized in real
