The jigsaw pieces of Islam’s origins


Mel, from 'Sneaker's Corner' interviewed Jay for an hour on Oct. 3rd, 2019, asking him a number of questions concerning what we now know of Islam's beginnings, from the data which is available today. 

The interview was easy going and congenial, and covered quite a range of topics, beginning with the problems of late dates for Muhammad's biography and sayings, and moving on to areas concerning how scholars today believe Islam actually happened, using the available material at our disposal now. 

This was a sort of 'what if' exercise, where the two of them sat back and tried to begin a time-line of what happened when, and how it all fits together with the newest research on the archaeological evidence coming to the fore, coupled with the documentary and manuscript evidence coming to light in the last few years, and even months. 

There is so much new research which is ongoing that these two friends had to admit that what they were saying today may look completely different a year from now, or even a few years from now, due to the new and changing evidence being brought forward around the world on Islam.....so stayed tuned!

Fidel Castro; Jesuits puppet for 50 years


Since the USA restored diplomatic relations with Cuba in July 2015 and Pope Francis visited the Caribbean island last September, Cuba is fast becoming a popular holiday destination. But some people might be unaware that its controversial former president, Fidel Castro – was educated by the Jesuits. Fidel Castro wasn’t the best student. Known for being a troublemaker, he was taught in two other schools before being sent to study under the Jesuits – first in the city of Santiago, and then in the famed Colegio de Belen in the capital, Havana, where he met a mentor who influenced his attitude for life.
